Share PSI 2.0 workshop took place in Berlin
Share-PSI 2.0 is the European network for the exchange of experience and ideas around implementing Open Data policies in the public sector. It brings together government departments, standards bodies, academic institutions, commercial organisations, trade associations and interest groups to identify what does and doesn't work, what is and isn't practical, what can and can't be expected of different stakeholders. Web seminar about Open Data and the use of APIs

Dutch cadaster data to be published as Open Data in 2016
By making the cadastral map of the Netherlands available as Open Data, the Dutch government wants to stimulate innovation, value creation and the re-use of geo-information. Alike previously published data sets, the cadastral map will be made available via the Publieke Dienstverlening op de Kaart (PDOK) platform. Open Data Geo Team Wins 1st BMVI Data Run
A real-time traffic guidance system, devised and prototyped by the joint team made up of the companies con terra GmbH, Esri Deutschland GmbH and Geocom Deutschland GmbH, has won two of the three categories in the 1st BMVI Data Run. The BMVI Data Run, held on 13-14 November, was the first German Government 'Hackathon' event, hosted by the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI). The winning project, entitled 'Real-time traffic guidance based on geo data mining', used data from the Federal Highway Research Institute (BASt). The data included traffic volumes, traffic

Access to data crucial for achieving global goals
On 14 November, a G20 side event entitled "Open data: enabling inclusive, sustainable and robust growth" took place in Antalya, Turkey. The event was co-hosted by the Turkish presidency of the G20, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Delegates stated that "Open Data promises to be at the heart of the world's drive to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)". New Open Data Portal launched in Northern Ireland
The Open Data portal joins up access to data across a range of themes, including health; education; employment and the economy; population and society; property and land; and environment and agriculture. Finance minister Arlene Foster officially launched the portal and told representatives from the private and public sectors and academia about its benefits: "The Northern Ireland Open Data portal is a place to publish, share and find public sector information. Conference: Raising Awareness on Open Data in the EU
The ePSI Platform project is almost coming to an end. The objective of the project is to promote a dynamic Public Sector Information and Open Data re-use market across the European Union. This last event is called 'Raising Awareness on Open Data in the EU' and will be held in Luxembourg on 19 February. Italy launches DCAT-AP_IT public consultation
The Italian Digital Agency (AgID) launched a public consultation on the Italian profile of metadata DCAT-AP_IT describing the public sector data (including Open Data). This activity is aimed at promoting the enhancement of public sector information and the implementation of the PSI Directive. The national profile, created in the context of the European Interoperability Framework, is an extension of the DCAT-AP specification defined under the ISA program of the European Commission.
